About Us

Lusby Motor Company was founded in 1921 at its present location of 155 Main Street in Prince Frederick. Four generations of the Lusby family have worked at the store. Starting out as a car garage, Lusby Motor Company evolved into a hardware and farm supply store in the 1930's. Cars, trucks, and agriculture equipment were added shortly thereafter.

Today, True Value hardware and John Deere headline our product lines, which also includes Stihl, Husqvarna, Lawn-Boy, and Agri-Fab lawn care attachments. Most units are set up, serviced, and started for you on-site. All John Deere products are delivered to your home where we will demonstrate how to use the equipment. This gives you a piece of mind that your equpment will be ready for immediate use. We also provide an online ordering system through our True Value and John Deere websites so products can be delivered to your door.

We strongly feel that our quality service separates us from the competition. We can service 99% of all the products that we sell in the store. Our parts department is fully stocked, and if we do not have a part available, we can order one to be sent to the store within three days. Our service department is managed by a Lusby family member, insuring your equipment will be repaired accurately.
